The ACF Tokyo acts as a platform for artists from Austria in Japan and supports initiatives to present a unique image of a contemporary, innovative and vibrant Austria. The ACF serves as a hub for artists and scientists from Austria who are looking for mutual exchange and creative encounters in Japan.

“Pixel Paravent - Time Travels in Clouds” by studio ASYNCHROME

Based on the “OsakaFolding Screen” from the Toyotomi Period, discovered at Eggenberg Castle in theAustrian province of Styria, the artist duo studio ASYNCHROME (Marleen Leitner &Michael Zitnik.) from Styria has created an interactive installation using digitaltechnology.

This installation hasbeen shown also in the Austrian Pavilion at the Osaka Kansai EXPO 2025 in thecontext of Stylian Week.
