Official Symbol of Austrian Cultural Forum Tokyo

The Austrian Cultural Forum (ACF) Tokyo acts as a platform for artists from Austria in Japan and supports initiatives to present a unique image of a contemporary, innovative and vibrant Austria. The ACF serves as a hub for artists and scientists from Austria who are looking for mutual exchange and creative encounters in Japan.

The ACF Tokyo is part of Austria’s international cultural network which forms an active international cultural policy as defined in the Austrian Foreign Ministry’s International Cultural Policy Concept.

The ACF Tokyo is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.


Nominal Support

It is possible to request nominal support for cultural and scientific projects in Japan with a tangible link to Austria.

Terms and Conditions:

a) In the field of culture or science

b) Related to Austria 

c) The project has to take place in Japan

d) The project does not violate any applicable Austrian or Japanese law and is not offensive to public order or goes against morality. Furthermore, it does not affect the friendly relations between the two countries in a negative way.

e) The application has to be made at least 3 months in advance.

f) The application has to contain detailed information on the project

g) Every document in print or electronic form carrying the logo of the Austrian Embassy Tokyo and/or the Austrian Cultural Forum Tokyo has to be approved by us in advance

h) The Austrian Embassy and the Cultural Forum are not liable for the project or its costs

i) The Austrian Cultural Forum shall be notified in case of changes in the project’s goal, its content or the usage of its financial support

j) After completion the applicants will submit a report on the course and outcome of the event including the number of visitors

In case of violation of our Terms and Conditions, the Austrian Cultural Forum Tokyo reserves the right to revoke its nominal support.
